Blogger Released from Jail

Today, as I was visiting my usual websites, I came across a rather upsetting story.

At, I came to a stroy about a young man who was put in jail for contempt, because he would not release a video he posted on his blog. As bloggers, we are independent journalist. We need to be protected just as employed journalists. Josh Wolf, from California, was the young man arrested. After spending 7 months in jail, Wolf was released yesterday on the condition that he would turn the video over to the prosecutors and in turn would not have to testify for a grand jury. Wolf plans on lobbying in Washington D.C., for a lobby for a shield law to protect journalists of all kind. "We shouldn't have government deciding who is or isn't a journalist," said Wolf.

Good Luck, Josh. Be our voice.
