Today's Path:Crazy Week

70 degree weather, -2 degree wind chills and 8-10 inches of snow.

And that's only what has happened with the weather this week. It has been a crazy week.

Along with the normal school, interning and working, I picked up a shift at the radio station at Lindenwood University. I started this week. I am on from 6-8am, that's right mornings, on Wednesdays. I really enjoyed it this week, except for the 4:45am wake-up call to get there and get everything ready.

On your work or school or play or your way home turn your radio to 89.1 The Wood Commercial Free Radio and listen in for me.

The Weather
I understand it's St. Louis, but the weather is rediculous. It was 73 degrees on Tuesday. I had my sunroof open. Then Thursday, it snowed 8-10 inches. Oh and don't forget, Lindenwood still held classes. Not that big of a problem, until your professors don't even show.

Well enjoy your weekend and the snow. Build me a snowman because I have to work.

Today's Path: I got a mention!!

Friday I was having some fun, and I googled my name, "Lane J." Usually, I get a bunch of streets, but what's new?

This is new!! I found my name on Stltoday.com. Yes, that is the St. Louis Post Dispatches website.

Kurt Greebaum, the Director of Social Media, post on his blog about the January Blog Carnival. It was great to get a mention on another site. Hopefully this is the beginning of a lot more mentions.

Today's Path: The Fun of Lending a Helping Hand

This weekend, my family and I have taken a dog to foster for the next couple of months. Her name is Peanut, and she is ADORABLE!!!
Today, my younger (definately not little) brother decided he was going to do curls with Peanut.

The past few days have been a lot of fun. I forgot how much fun you can have by lending a helping hand.

Today's Path: "Compile My 50 List" - check

Once I started working on My 50 List, I realized how hard it was going to be to just compile it. Knowing it was going to be difficult made it important to put on My List. It took me close to 2 months to finish compiling my list.

It is now complete, and now I can check that off.

I learned so much from just thinking about what I wanted to do and be in the next 29 years. Even if you don't want to compile a 50 list because it seems like it would be too hard or even if you don't think you could do everything, do to learn more about you.

Now that My 50 List is compiled, I feel like I have a good skeleton of what I know I need to do and set out for.

Today's Path: "The Bucket List" - Movie Review

After posting My 50 List last week, a friend and I decided to go and see The Bucket List starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. I thought that it would be interesting what Hollywood thought would be somethings that are important to do or see before you die.

The movie started with the beginning of the end of the lives of a multimillion, Edward Cole (Nicholson), and a mechanic, Carter Chamber (Freeman). It wasn't until about 40 minutes into this 1 hour and 37 minutes movie, that the bucket list is even mentioned. This leaves 57 minutes for them to develop their bucket list and then complete it. I know there is the magic of movies in which time is not a factor, but come on. It took me 2 months to get my list done.

Once the list is made and they take off to complete it, the movie picks up after a little disagreements over different things and whether or not they should be on the bucket list.

In the end, hopefully you see this coming even if you don't see the movie, they both die and complete the bucket list.

One thing that really bugged me was that Nicholson never wore glasses in the movie. In every other movie I have seen him in he has glasses on.

Once we got to our seats we looked around, and we were the youngest people there. The average age was probably about 37 (and we brought the average down) for the 7:10pm showing.

All in all, I would give it 3 out of 4 stars. It is definitely a must see if you want a tear jerker and a side splitter.

Today's Path: It is complete!!!

Just shy of two months, I have finished compiling My 50 List.

My 50 List started out as a way to help define my future and to keep me from freaking out about it. Little did I know that I would struggle and wrestle so much with myself while finding 50 things I wanted to do before I turned 50. I have come to a better understanding of who I am through this.

I have divide my 50's into categories. Many of my 50's are things that I want to see, others are what I want to do, and others still are things I want to accomplish. Several overlap into more than one category, but I feel where they are is where they need to be.
